Barclay Gastroenterology can provide a full investigation and treatment service for bowel and digestion conditions.

Services include:

• Patient consultation
  

• Colonoscopy:    Diagnostic and Therapeutic

• Gastroscopy:    Diagnostic and Therapeutic

• Colon cancer screening

• Gastrointestinal motility investigations - including oesophageal and anorectal function studies

• Dysphagia - assessment and treatment
• Botulinum toxin injections - for anal fissures, impaired gastric emptying and achalasia
• Assessment of liver disease

Referral to see Murray will usually be from a GP or another medical specialist.

We are a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider.

 

Professor Barclay has particular subspecialist expertise including:

• Inflammatory Bowel Disease - all aspects of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis

• Gastrointestinal motility disorders - affecting the function of the gastrointestinal tract

-  includes dysphagia, reflux disease, oesophageal chest pain, severe constipation, faecal incontinence

• Clinical Pharmacology - giving a strength in reviewing and optimising prescribing of medicines.
