Professor Barclay is actively involved in a range of research projects in both Gastroenterology and Clinical Pharmacology, with collaborators in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom. He has been awarded the University of Otago Christchurch Gold Medal for research.

  • Infliximab and adalimumab are antibody drugs against tumour necrosis factor and are used in inflammatory bowel disease and other autoimmune diseases.
